What is a Product Code?

A Product Code is a unique code associated with your Toon Boom software purchase, which is used to activate that software.

What does a Product Code look like?

A Product Code is a 20-character, alphanumeric code, formatted with dashes every four characters. It includes both letters and numbers:

• Format: ####-####-####-####-####
• Example: f878-d14d-e378-4f99-b6a8

Where can I find the Product Code?

• Perpetual license:
  • If you purchased via the Toon Boom Online Store, your Product Code can be found in the Software Licenses section of the My Downloads page.
  • If you purchased through a sales representative, or were assigned a license from the Toon Boom License Portal, your Product Code will be sent to you via email.

• Desktop subscriptions and free trials:
  • These Product Codes exist, but are not displayed anywhere. They activate automatically when you launch the Toon Boom Activation Wizard.

Where can a Product Code be used?

A Product Code can be used in the Toon Boom Activation Wizard’s Internet Activation options.

Why does my Product Code appear greyed out in the Local License Manager?

This means the Toon Boom Activation Wizard does not recognize your device. In this case, click on the Repair button. If the license fails to repair itself, please contact Toon Boom Support and provide details of your circumstances. Refer to the article How do I contact Toon Boom support?.

My Product Code was activated on a device that is no longer functional, or was formatted. How can I return my license?

Your license will have to be returned manually by the Toon Boom Support team. Please contact Toon Boom Support and provide details of your circumstances. Refer to the article How do I contact Toon Boom support?.
