What are temporary licenses?
While your studio’s or school's administration department finalizes a purchase, you may be issued temporary licenses (from a few weeks to a month). This means the production or class can start using the software right away, without being delayed by the payment completion process.
How is the full term license activated once payment is confirmed?
Once the transaction is fully processed and payment is received, Toon Boom issues a full license for the length of your purchased term.
Your IT department should then activate the full term licenses. If the license is not activated, check with your IT contact.
| NOTE: The new license does not replace the temporary one automatically. Your IT contact needs to activate it once it arrives. |
What do I do when my temporary license is close to expiring?
If your temporary license is close to expiring, check with your IT contact to see whether a full license has already arrived and needs to be activated. If payment has already been received and you are not sure a full license has been issued, contact us and we will look into it.
What do I do if my license says it’s close to expiring even after receiving the full term license?
If your full term license has been activated and you still get a warning message that your license will expire soon, it generally means that the temporary license is still active alongside the full term license. The temporary license can be returned for the warning to stop appearing.
