How do I activate my license via the internet?

A Toon Boom Desktop Subscription can be activated by launching the Toon Boom Activation Wizard, and signing in with your Toon Boom ID. The following steps will help you activate your Toon Boom Desktop Subscription.

Step 1: Open the Toon Boom Activation Wizard

  1. Open your Toon Boom software, or do one of the following:
    • In Windows: On your desktop, use the Windows key and search for “License Wizard”. Click on the result to open the Toon Boom Activation Wizard.
    • In macOS: Open the Spotlight search by pressing ⌘ + Space. Search for “License Wizard”. Click on the result to open the Toon Boom Activation Wizard.
  2. The Toon Boom Activation Wizard will appear:

NOTE: By default, the Window’s version of the wizard is light grey/silver, but the steps are exactly the same as those shown above.

Step 2: Sign in with your Toon Boom ID

  1. In the Email field, enter the Toon Boom ID that is associated with your Toon Boom Desktop Subscription.Your Toon Boom ID should be the e-mail where your desktop subscription confirmation e-mail was delivered to.
  2. In the Password field, enter your password.If your password has been forgotten, you may use the link on the Toon Boom License Wizard to reset your password.
  3. Click the Sign In button when done.

Step 3: Activate your Toon Boom Desktop Subscription

  1. Once you are signed in, the License Wizard will list all of the products that are available for activation on your account:

  1. Locate the product you want to activate, then click on the Activate button next to the product.

  1. The Activation Successful window will appear, confirming the activation of your Toon Boom Desktop Subscription. Press OK to exit the window.

  1. Close the Toon Boom License Wizard. You can now launch your software.
NOTE: Activation and renewal of a subscription license requires a direct connection to the internet. Make sure that you are not connected to a proxy, and that your firewall or network is not blocking access to the internet.

Question 1: 

What is my Toon Boom ID?

Answer: 

Your Toon Boom ID is the same e-mail address where your desktop subscription confirmation e-mail was sent to. This e-mail can be searched for in your e-mail by looking for “Licensing Information Notice” in your inbox.

I’ve forgotten my password. How can I reset it?

Answer: 

Use the Forgot your password? link on the Toon Boom License Wizard to reset your password.

Why do I get an error message when signing in with my Toon Boom ID and password?

Question 4:

Why do my products appear as "Already installed" after I sign in with my Toon Boom ID?

Answer: 

If a product appears as “Already installed”, this means that the product has been activated on another device. Please see the How do I return a license via the internet? article for more information.
