How do I activate my Trial License?

Following the steps in the How do I get a free software trial? article will create a free software trial license associated with your Toon Boom ID. After installing your software, follow the steps in this article to activate your trial license.

Step 1: Open your software

If no licenses are currently active on your machine, opening your software will automatically take you through the activation process in the Toon Boom Activation Wizard.

• In Windows, open the desktop shortcut corresponding to your Toon Boom software. This will open the Toon Boom Activation Wizard.
• In macOS: Open the Spotlight search by pressing ⌘ + Space. Search for your Toon Boom software. Click on the result. This will open the Toon Boom Activation Wizard.

Once the Toon Boom Activation Wizard window opens, press Try Now. This will take you to a screen where you can log-in with your Toon Boom ID.

Step 2: Sign in with your Toon Boom ID in the Toon Boom Activation Wizard.

1. In the Email field, enter the Toon Boom ID that is associated with your Toon Boom Desktop Subscription. Your Toon Boom ID should be the address where your desktop subscription confirmation e-mail was delivered.
2. In the Password field, enter your password. If your password has been forgotten, you may use the link on the Toon Boom License Wizard to reset your password.
3. Click the Sign In button when done.

4. If a trial license exists on the account, the following screen appears: 

5. Congratulations! Your trial license has been successfully activated. The window shows your trial’s expiration date.
6. Press Finish to close the Toon Boom Activation Wizard.

If this happens, it means that no trial license could be found on your account. Make sure that the steps in How do I get a free software trial? were all properly followed. Make sure to press the Download button on the product’s page in the site, as this is the action that activates the trial on your account.
