How do I activate my COE student license?

As a student attending a Toon Boom Centre of Excellence school, you may use a Desktop Subscription of Toon Boom Harmony and Toon Boom Storyboard Pro. Below are some steps that you can follow to activate your student Desktop Subscription.

Please note that the licenses available for COE Students are 1-year licenses. COE Students need to renew licenses each year for the duration of their studies.

Step 1: Create a Toon Boom account

1. Follow the steps provided in How do I create a Toon Boom account?. Make sure that your account is created using the e-mail address provided by your school.
2. Go to the COE Student Portal’s home page.

Step 2: Log in to your Toon Boom account on the COE Student Portal

1. In the COE Student Portal, press the Sign In button in the top right, or under the first step.

2. The Toon Boom login page will appear.
3. In the designated fields, enter your Email address and Password.
4. Confirm you are not a robot by ticking the I’m not a robot (reCAPTCHA) box.
5. Click the Sign In button. You will be redirected back to the COE Student Portal.

6. Once you are logged in, the COE Student Portal page will open and show your account creation status.

Step 3: Validate your student profile in the COE Student Portal

1. In the COE Student Portal page, click on Validate Now.

2. This will forward you to the Downloads page where you will find links to download your software.

If this happens, this means that your e-mail address was not associated with your school’s domain, or that your school’s e-mail was not found as part of the COE group.

Please make sure that your Toon Boom ID is associated with your school e-mail. If your school e-mail is not recognized by the site, please contact your school’s administrator and confirm whether your school participates in the Toon Boom Centre of Excellence Program.
