A Product Code can be manually returned from the machine that it is active on by using the Local or Network License Manager in the Toon Boom Activation Wizard. This article will take you through the steps required to manually return your license.
Step 1: Open the Toon Boom Activation Wizard
- Open your Toon Boom software, or do one of the following:
- In Windows: On your desktop, use the Windows key and search for “License Wizard”. Click on the result to open the Toon Boom Activation Wizard.
- In macOS: Open the Spotlight search by pressing ⌘ + Space. Search for “License Wizard”. Click on the result to open the Toon Boom Activation Wizard.
- The Toon Boom Activation Wizard will appear:

Step 2: Open the Local License Manager
- At the bottom of the Activation Wizard Welcome screen, click on the Manage Licenses button.
- The License Management window will open:
- Based on your license type, click on either the Manage Local License or Manage Network License button.
- The License Manager window will open in a separate window:
Step 3: Return the license
- Click on the Product Name that corresponds with the license that you want to return. The product will be highlighted.
- Click on the Return button.
- A window will appear confirming that the return of the license is complete.
- Press OK. The return process will be completed.
