Storyboard Pro has too many keyboard shortcuts to fit into a single article, therefore this article will only introduce you to the most commonly used keyboard shortcuts for getting started in the software.
You can find and customize Storyboard Pro shortcuts by going to the following location:
- Windows: Top menu > Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts…
- macOS: Top menu > Storyboard Pro > Keyboard Shortcuts…
| NOTE: The usual shortcuts used for Undo and Save in Storyboard Pro are the same as other softwares and are therefore not included in this article. |
General and Interface Shortcuts
The following shortcuts can be used for navigating within Storyboard Pro’s interface and views.

| Zoom In and Zoom Out | Zooms in and out of the selected view (if available). | 1 and 2 | 1 and 2 |
| Hand tool | Temporarily activates the Hand tool. Clicking and dragging allows you to move around the Camera or Stage views. | Spacebar (Hold) | Spacebar (Hold) |
| Rotate View tool | Temporarily activates the Rotate View tool. Rotates the angle of the Camera or Stage views. |

Drawing and Painting Shortcuts
The following shortcuts can be used while drawing and painting in Storyboard Pro’s Camera and Stage views. Functions with an * cannot be found in the Keyboard Shortcuts window.
| NOTE: Drawing tool shortcuts with Alt or ⌥ (Option) in front of them can be used temporarily by holding the letter without Alt or Option, then letting go to return to the previous tool. |

Shortcuts for Panels, Layers and Scenes
The following shortcuts can be used for panels, layers and scenes.

| Show/Hide Onion Skin | Shows/hides the Onion Skin (requires a selection to work). | Alt+O | ⌥ +O |
| Merge Down | Merges the selected layer down onto the one beneath. Only works with one layer at a time. | Ctrl+E | ⌘+E |
| Specific layer selection across scene | Select like-named layers throughout the scene for editing. | Ctrl+Shift | ⌘+Shift |
| Select All Drawings In Scene | Selects all the artwork on every layer in the scene. | Ctrl+Shift+A | ⌘+Shift+A |
| New Panel | Adds a new panel after the selected one. | P | P |
| Next/Previous Panel | Jumps to the next or previous panel. | F and A | F and A |

Shortcut Customization Suggestions
The following shortcuts are useful functions for specific tasks. They are available in the Keyboards Shortcuts window but are not assigned to any shortcut. It is recommended you assign your own shortcuts to them based on your needs.

| Function name | Description |
| Show Strokes | By default this is set to ‘K’ in Harmony, but is blank in Storyboard Pro. It is useful as a toggle to show or hide the hidden vector strokes of your artwork. |
| Play | Allows you to toggle playback. |
| Go to Next Marker | If you use markers often, these can be useful for jumping between them. |
| Go to Previous Marker | |
| Bring Forward | These are used to bring artwork on a layer forward, or send it backward, when using the Select tool. Helpful for arranging your artwork. |

| Record Sound | Open the Record Sound window. |
