Yes, you can save any Help Centre article as a PDF, or print it, straight from your web browser. This is handy if you want to keep a copy for your class or hand it out on paper.
Step 1: Open the Print dialog
- Open the Help Centre article you want to save.
- Open the Print dialog by using one of the following shortcuts:
- On Windows, press Ctrl + P
- On macOS, press Cmd + P
- You can also open the Print dialog by going to the Top menu > File > Print…, or by expanding the browser’s Options menu (usually 3 dots) and clicking Print.
| NOTE: Every browser has a different Print dialog. If you struggle with the PDF or printing process, please check your browser’s documentation for solutions. |
Option 1: Save the article as a PDF
To keep a digital PDF of the article, do the following in the Print dialog:
- Find the field that allows you to choose the format. This can be found in the Destination dropdown in the top right (Chrome), or in another dropdown or button in the interface.
- If not already set to PDF, change the format to PDF.
- Click Save or OK and choose where to keep the file on your computer.
| TIP: Saving the article as a PDF allows it to be readable on any device, and lets you share it without needing an internet connection. |
Option 2: Print the article
If you would rather print a paper copy, follow these steps:
- In the Print dialog, choose your printer. This can be found in the Destination dropdown in the top right (Chrome), or in a section named Printer in other browsers.
- Adjust the print settings, such as the number of copies, page orientation etc.
- Click Print or OK to print the article.
Q&A
Question:
Can I save only part of an article?
Answer:
Yes. In the print dialog, look for a Pages option and choose the specific page range you want before saving or printing. This is useful for longer articles where you only need one section.
Question:
The article looks different when saved. Is that normal?
Answer:
Yes. Saved and printed copies are formatted for the page rather than the screen, so some layout may shift slightly. All of the article's text and images will still be included.
