How do I move my frames and keyframes on the timeline?

About moving frames

When moving frames or keyframes on the timeline, keep the following in mind:

  • Moving frames when the timeline is closed will move all aligned keyframes and frames in the hierarchy.
  • The first click creates the selection, the second click initiates the movement.
  • A selection of frames are always blue, but when frames are moved they are dark yellow.

TIP: If you are moving a single frame/keyframe, select it by clicking it once first. Then click and drag it to move it.
NOTE: Simply clicking and dragging a frame without selecting it first will just create a selection. Always make a selection first, then click and drag to move it.
