How do I see the path of my peg?

Step 1: Activate Show Control

  1. In the Timeline view, select the peg that you want to activate the path on.
  2. In the Camera view, locate the Camera View toolbar and select the Show Control button, or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F11 (Windows) or CMD + F11 (macOS).

  1. Your peg path will appear in the Camera view:

  1. If you’d like to hide the path again, select the Hide All Controls button in the Camera View toolbar, or use the keyboard shortcut Shift + C.

Why didn’t my path show when I activated the Show Control button?

Answers: 
  1. Make sure the correct peg is selected, especially when you have multiple in a hierarchy. 
  2. Make sure the peg you are activating the path on has animation on it.
  3. If the movement is only on the Z-axis, the path may only appear fully in the Perspective view.

Answers: 
  1. Points on the path represent control points or keyframes.
  2. The lines or dashes represent each frame and their placement represents the easing, or spacing, of the frames.
