The following steps will help you locate an element, layer, or node in your rig.
Option 1: Select elements in the Camera view
- In the Tools toolbar, select the Transform
tool.
- In the camera view, select the part you wish to locate.
- With the part selected, hover the mouse cursor over the Node view or Timeline view.
- Press the O key on your keyboard to automatically be navigated to the element.
NOTE: If your Node view is zoomed out very far, you may not see the selection jump. In this case, zoom in a bit and press O again. |
TIP: This technique can also be used between the Timeline and Node view by selecting a part in one view, and pressing O in the other. |
Option 2: Use the Search Bar in the Node view
- Navigate to the Node view and locate the Search bar in the bottom right:
- In the Search bar, type the element name and press Enter.
- Use the arrow buttons next to the Search bar to cycle through any elements with this name and find the one you need:
NOTE: This technique will only work well if you have named your nodes accordingly and kept your Node view organized. |
