How can I quickly organize my Node view?

Step 1: Select the nodes you want to organize

  1. In the Node view, select the nodes you want to organize by drawing a selection box around them, or using Ctrl (Windows) or ⌘ (macOS) to select/deselect specific nodes.

  1. Depending on the type of organization you want, choose one of the following options.

Option 1: Use the Align Nodes Horizontally button

  1. Click on the Align Nodes Horizontally button.

  1. Your nodes will be organized so they align horizontally:

Option 2: Use the Order Node View Up/Down buttons

  1. Click on the Order Node View Up or Order Node View Down button.

  1. The Order Node View Settings dialog box will appear:

  1. The default settings will spread the nodes out in a tree or fan shape. If you want a larger or smaller shape, adjust the following settings:
    • X Overlap %: The higher the percentage, the more nodes will overlap.
    • Layer Spacing: How far the nodes are from the Composite node. The higher the number, the further the nodes will be.
    • Vertical Spacing: How far the nodes are vertically from each other. The higher the number, the more spaced out the nodes will be.
  2. When done, hit the OK button.
  3. Your nodes will be organized in a fan-like shape:
