Step 1: Select the nodes you want to organize
- In the Node view, select the nodes you want to organize by drawing a selection box around them, or using Ctrl (Windows) or ⌘ (macOS) to select/deselect specific nodes.
- Depending on the type of organization you want, choose one of the following options.
Option 1: Use the Align Nodes Horizontally button
- Click on the Align Nodes Horizontally
button.
- Your nodes will be organized so they align horizontally:
Option 2: Use the Order Node View Up/Down buttons
- Click on the Order Node View Up
or Order Node View Down
button.
- The Order Node View Settings dialog box will appear:
- The default settings will spread the nodes out in a tree or fan shape. If you want a larger or smaller shape, adjust the following settings:
- X Overlap %: The higher the percentage, the more nodes will overlap.
- Layer Spacing: How far the nodes are from the Composite node. The higher the number, the further the nodes will be.
- Vertical Spacing: How far the nodes are vertically from each other. The higher the number, the more spaced out the nodes will be.
- When done, hit the OK button.
- Your nodes will be organized in a fan-like shape:
