How do I edit multiple drawing layers at the same time?

Harmony’s drawing layers are designed to keep your artwork separate, which means that, by default, you can usually only edit the artwork on the currently selected layer. However, there are ways to edit more than one drawing layer at a time. 

Option 1: Use the Apply to Visible Drawing Layers button

1. In the Tools toolbar, select one of the following tools:
   • Selecttool (Alt/Option + S)
   • Cuttertool (Alt/Option  + T)
   • Pencil Editor tool (Alt/Option + W)
   • Paint Bucket tools (Alt + I)
2. In the Tools Properties view, locate and click on the Apply to Visible Drawing Layers button. The button will affect the selected art layer on all drawing layers. 3. Hide any drawing layers you do not want to edit.
4. Use your chosen tool to edit the artwork on all the visible drawing layers.
    

Option 2: Selecting specific layers in the Timeline or Node view

Use this technique if you do not have many layers and only want to edit specific layers. This option also gives you a few more tool options for editing layers, but you risk losing your layer selection if you accidentally deselect them.

1. Select the layers you want to edit by doing one of the following:
   • In the Timeline view, use Shift or Ctrl/Cmd and click to select multiple layers.
   • In the Node view, use Ctrl/Cmd and click to select multiple drawing elements.

2. In the Tools toolbar, select one of the following tools:
   • Selecttool (Alt/Option + S)
   • Cuttertool (Alt/Option  + T)
   • Pencil Editor tool (Alt/Option + W)
   • Perspectivetool (Alt/Option + 0)
   • Envelope tool
   • Erasertool (Alt/Option + E)
   • Paint Bucket tools (Alt + I)
3. Use your chosen tool to edit the artwork on all the selected drawing layers.
