How do I update my scene settings after creating a scene?

It’s easy to set up your scene settings in the Welcome Screen, but occasionally you may need to update scene settings on an existing scene. The following steps will show you how to easily update the scene settings.

Step 1: Open the Scene Settings dialog box

1. In the top menu, select Scene > Scene Settings.
2. The Scene Settings dialog box will open:

3. Select the tabs at the top to adjust your scene settings. Each tab contains settings related to the following:
   • Resolution tab: Screen size, frame rate and field of view.
   • Alignment tab: Alignment and aspect ratio.
   • Drawing Resolution tab: Bitmap layer resolution and vector pixel density.
   • Colour tab: Colour space and bit depth.
   • Advanced tab: Texture management and compact save file options.
4. Click OK when done.

Question 1:

I’ve updated the settings, but don’t see any notable difference?

Answers:

1. Make sure you have clicked OK to close the Scene Settings dialog and save the changes. If you close the window using the X or Cancel buttons, it will not apply the settings.
2. Reopen the Scene Settings dialog and double check that the settings you changed have the values you applied and not the default setting values.

Question 2:

I’d like to use these settings again. Is it possible to create a preset?

Answer:

Yes, once the changes have been made you can simply hit the Save button in the Resolution or Alignment tabs to create a new Scene Settings preset.
