How do I change the interface colours?

The following steps will show you where to change the interface colours for specific features in Harmony. 

Note that this article does not cover how to change the Harmony theme between Dark or Light. Please refer to Changing the Theme Colours for more info on changing the theme.

Step 1: Open the Preferences Window

  1. Navigate to the top menu.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • In Windows, click the Edit menu.
    • In macOS click the Harmony Premium/Advanced/Essentials menu.
  3. Click on Preferences…
  4. The Preferences dialog box opens: 

Step 2: Change the interface colours

  1. In the Preferences window, click on the General tab and locate the Colours section in the bottom left.

  1. In the Colours section, you can adjust the Current View Border and Current View Border in Template colours. These are the colours that surround your views when they are activated in a regular Harmony scene, and a template edit scene. See Editing Templates for more information.

  1. Click on the Edit Colours button at the bottom of the Colours section to customize additional colours of your interface. 

  1. A new window opens.

  1. You can do the following in this window:
    • Use the tabs at the top of the window to search by category.
    • Click the coloured squares to change a feature’s colour.
    • Use the Restore All Defaults button to reset all colours.
  2. Once done, click OK to save your colours.
  3. Click OK on the Preferences window to save all changes.
