If you have a template saved in the library and you need to update it or change in some way, you can edit directly instead of having to create a new one.
Step 1: Edit a template
In the Library view, locate the folder that contains the template (.tpl) that you want to edit.
Right click on the folder and choose Right to Modify to unlock it.
In the right pane of the Library view, right click on the .tpl that you want to edit and choose Edit template.
Another instance of Harmony will open with the template in it.
Harmony will indicate that you are working in a template scene by highlighting views in green, and listing the template path in the software Title Bar.
Edit the template and when done, press save and close the scene. A prompt will appear to warn you that your edit may make the template no longer usable as an Action template.
Click Save.
Your template is now saved with the update.
NOTE: Editing templates can prevent you from using them as or with Action templates. Depending on the extent of the edit, Action templates may need to be remade. To read more about Action templates, see What is an Action template?
WARNING: Be mindful of when you are working in template scenes as it can be easy to mistake them as a regular scene and make unwanted edits. Look out for the name in the Title bar and the green outline around views.
