You can rotate your canvas/view in the Camera and Drawing views using the steps described below.
Step 1: Activate the Rotate View tool
- Do one of the following to activate the Rotate View
tool:
- In the Tools toolbar, under the Hand
tool menu, locate the Rotate View
tool.
- Use one of the following shortcuts (must be held down to use the tool):
- Ctrl + Alt (Windows/Linux)
- ⌘ + Alt (macOS)
- In the top menu, select Drawing > Tools > Rotate View
- In the Drawing or Camera view, right-click and select Drawing Tools > Rotate View
- In the Tools toolbar, under the Hand
- An animation disk will appear in the view:
Step 2: Rotate the canvas with the Rotate View tool
- While the animation disk symbol is on the screen, click and drag in the view to rotate the canvas.
- Release the mouse click when the canvas is at the desired rotation.
- Repeat the previous steps to adjust the rotation of the view as you work.
- To reset the view, do one of the following:
- Use the shortcut, Shift + X
- In the top menu, select View > Reset Rotation
| NOTE: The Rotate View tool only temporarily rotates the view to allow for different angles when drawing and editing. It does not rotate the position of the camera. |
