How do I import a custom pencil line?

If you can’t find what you need in Storyboard Pro’s pencil preset library, you can create a custom pencil made from an image of your choice.

Step 1: Import the file for the pencil line

1. In the Tools toolbar, select the Pencil tool.
2. Go to the Tool Properties view. In the Vector Brush Properties section, select the Show Extended Properties button.

3. The Pencil Properties window appears:

4. Under the preview, select the Texture tab.
5. On the right-hand side, click on the New Texture button. 

6. A browser will open. Locate the custom pencil line file you would like to use and click Open.
7. The new texture will appear at the bottom of the texture thumbnail section. Click on the custom texture thumbnail to select it.

8. Click on the New Brush Preset button to save the pencil line and have it show up in the Tool Properties presets window.

The texture I’ve imported doesn’t seem to be working?  

Answers: 

1. Double check that the new texture is in a file format that supports transparency.  
2. Double check that you’ve saved the texture as a pencil preset in the Pencil Properties window by using the New Brush Preset button.
