In Storyboard Pro, you cannot change the physical surface or texture of a 3D model, however you can change what the model looks like while you are working with it. This article will show you how.
Step 1: Access the 3D effects
- In the Stage or Camera view, find the layer of your 3D model and select it.
- Right click on the layer and go to the 3D Effects menu. We are going to focus on the section in the lower half.
- Simply select one of these display modes to change the appearance of the model. See below for more information.
Types of 3D display modes
Below is a summary of what the different modes look like when applied.
Shaded The default mode. Depending on the model, it will appear as a shaded object with applied colours, or with placeholder textures.
Flat Removes any textures or colours and displays the model as a shaded grey model.
Washed Looks like the Shaded mode, but has a washed-out effect to reduce details, like a light table effect.
Wireframe Models are displayed with only their wireframe.
Wireframe on Shaded The Shaded display mode with a wireframe.
Wireframe on Flat The Flat display mode with a wireframe. |
