Sometimes it can be tricky finding artwork in the Drawing view due to the size of the artwork, or the shifting of the drawing space. The steps below will help you troubleshoot how to find your artwork quickly in the Drawing view.
Step 1: Make sure a drawing is selected
- Select the drawing that you want to see in the Drawing view by doing one of the following:
- In the Camera view, click on the artwork with the Transform
tool.
- In the Timeline view, select the drawing frame of the artwork. You can also select the whole layer if it only contains one drawing frame.
- In the Camera view, click on the artwork with the Transform
- Select or open the Drawing view. If you still don’t see your artwork, try the following step.
Step 2: Reset the Drawing view
Sometimes the Drawing view gets shifted while working in Harmony. Resetting the view will re-centre your drawing space, and is an effective way of finding artwork that has been shifted away from the view. Do the following:
- In the Drawing view, use the keyboard shortcut Shift + M to reset the view.
- If resetting the view did not work, repeat the instructions from Step 1.
Q&A
Question 1:
Why am I only seeing the artwork on one drawing layer when I have multiple selected?
Answer:
By default, the Drawing view in Harmony only allows for one selected image at a time to be seen. You can use the Show Light Table button to see a washed out version of the artwork on other drawing layers.
Question 2:
Why are parts of my drawing missing?
Answers:
- If the affected drawing uses bitmap layers, or is an imported bitmap image, it cannot be seen in the Drawing view. Only vector artwork can be seen in the Drawing view.
