About the new features
Storyboard Pro 27 adds five new features for workflow:
Clipping Masks in PSD Imports:
- Photoshop files import with clipping masks preserved.
- Layers and masks remain individually editable, not flattened.
Blending Modes in PSD Imports:
- 24 Photoshop blending modes are preserved and converted to non-destructive, editable layer effects.
- Background paintwork and lighting passes import with accurate appearance.
Panel Timer:
- Capture panel timing live by tapping while acting out the board.
- Create panels on the fly or apply recorded timing to an existing selection.
- Optional audio capture for scratch dialogue.
Reference view Mirror tool:
- Flip any reference drawing horizontally in one click.
- No changes to the source file and no duplicate files to maintain.
Export to Harmony - Single Operation:
- One export can now produce both the rendered animatic and the original vector artwork.
- No double export, no manual assembly between departments.
